The technical and software department was created with the purpose of maintenance of functioning of computer and office equipment of engineering, telecommunication equipment and local computer networks of the institute, and also automation of educational process with use of the software, both own development, and third-party developers.

The technical and software department is responsible for computers (laptops, monoblocks, servers) with peripheral devices (printers, scanners), multimedia and interactive equipment, access control system, video surveillance system, network structures with data transfer devices, long-term storage devices information, copying technology, etc.

The technical and software department provides:

  • provision of the educational process and units of the university with computer facilities, software, office equipment and other technical means;
  • development of software, participation in the implementation of an automated control system at the university;
  • support and monitoring of server and network software and hardware solutions;
  • support and maintenance of the implemented software products involved in the management system of the university;
  • organizes the process of implementing programs within the framework of the tasks assigned to it in accordance with the strategy of the university.

The University has 18 computer classes, a robotics room, 3 portable computer classes, 3 electronic reading rooms, 2 language classes, Wi-Fi zones that provide access to the corporate network and Internet, IP telephony, Polycom VSX 7000 video conferencing system, developed for use in the conference room for multi-point video conferencing and the possibility of information exchange.

The university uses 517 modern personal computers and monoblock, 246 laptops of Intel Core 2 Duo, Dual Core, Intel DualCore2, Intel Core i3, Intel Core i5, etc., 107 multimedia systems, as well as 24 multimedia audiences equipped with modern interactive whiteboards and panels Interwrite Board, Active Board.

Currently, the Institute has 3 Internet access points:

  • 100 Mbit/s, unlimited traffic (Tәuelsiздdіk street, 118, Main building)
  • 60 Mbit/s, unlimited traffic (Pushkin street, 133, Dormitory)
  • 20 Mbit/s, unlimited traffic (Pushkin street, 136, Information and Library Center)

In the university there is an automated system for managing the educational process, including the network testing system for students, the electronic system "Platonus", "Dekanat", "Abiturient", containing information about students, their academic performance, curriculum of disciplines, student office. There is an electronic library, which includes books, textbooks, manuals, lectures and other materials for the educational process, the program "Sillabus", containing syllabuses for each discipline in the specialties.

The functioning of telecommunication systems is provided by the following hardware:

  1. The server of the automated training management system, IIS + ASP for the library portal: Intel Xeon 3.0 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, RAID SCSI.
  2. Public Server (shared network directory, caching DNS, NTP): Supermicro 2 CPU Intel Xeon, 2 GHz (2x4 cores), 4 GB of RAM.
  3. Server remote management training system, mail server, web services, Proxmox virusization system (container for the database (development period), container for testing (development period), container for the backup storage): Supermicro 2 CPU Intel Xeon, 2.4 GHz (2x8 cores) , 32 GB of RAM.
  4. Server for 1C accounting: terminal licenses for client connections (remote application of 1C Enterprise), storage and processing of 1C database of Accounting: Supermicro 745 TQ, Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2650 (20M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 8.00 GT / s Intel ® QPI) / 32 GB RAM
  5.
